Do I have to make reservations for lessons?

Advance reservations are recommended; for the 2025-2026 season, reservations will be accepted starting in July. For the half-term (February 10 - March 10, 2026), please book early. Lessons are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Do you need a ski pass?

Beginner lessons using the ramp in front of the Palace Hotel in Villars will be free, so no pass is needed.

For lessons in Bretaye, a pass is required for those born before 2019; for children born after 2019, a magnetic card is required and costs 5 CHF. For more information. TVGD Websitefor more information.

Can you prepare my ski equipment?

No. Ski equipment must be prepared prior to the ski lesson. Please make sure to have your ski equipment ready before your ski lesson.

Do I need to stock up on kids' lessons?

Stocks are required from Plukebogen and above. Beginners do not need one.

Is there snow at the beginning of the season?

Of course. Artificial snow machines are deployed on the ski slopes. The ski school is also making every effort to ensure that lessons take place.

Will lessons be held during snow and rain?

Yes, the event will take place in all weather conditions. It will take place in all weather conditions.

Is insurance included in the lesson fee?

No, not included. You must have your own accident insurance.

I am new to skiing, how many hours of lessons should I take?

We cannot give you a general answer as to how many hours are good for you, since there are individual differences in your age, physical strength, level of progress, motivation, etc. Please feel free to consult with us.

Where is the meeting place for lessons?

There are two meeting places for private lessons.

  1. For Bretaye It will be in front of the ski school.
  2. For Villars It will be behind the station, in front of the ski slope next to the Palace Hotel. This is the location of Snowy (rabbit mascot) in the figure below.

How do I get to Bretaye?

Beginners:.

From Villars station, take the train for Bretaye. Get off at the last stop, Bretaye.

Gondola ride at Roc d'Orsey. Upon arrival, ski down the slope to Bretaye.

Can I stay with my child during lessons?

Please refrain from doing so, as it may interfere with your concentration during the lesson.

What payment options are available?

Payment is accepted at the ski school.

Can parents and children take private lessons together?

I don't recommend it, though, because the teaching methods for kids and adults are different,
